Challenge: none; prompt - "Lovers"
Title: Familiarity
Word count: 139
Notes: YAOI; implied Lex/Zex; nothing graphic
It was more of a ritual than anything. Some remnant from their other selves that told them, “This is how it should be.”
The familiar dance of touch and response, the contact of skin on skin.
It had never been a secret. They were sure the others had known. They had been discreet, of course, and none but Braig had the tactlessness to bring it up more than was strictly necessary. Even from the beginning, it had been a quiet attraction.
Lexaeus’s hands were still impossibly gentle, despite being too large and too rough. And occasionally, Zexion found himself uttering a name that should have died when it’s owner lost his heart to darkness.
Now, it was part need, part memory. Ghosts of desire, echoes of passion – things that they could almost feel, if they convinced themselves enough.
