Title: Falling, With Style
Word Count: 399
Characters: Sora, Kairi, and a few others.
Notes: KHxToyStory Crossover! And the beginning of an unending quest. A slightly different take on "puppet". Takes place after KHII.

"This place is HUGE," Sora whistled as he looked over the edge of the desk. It was a good five-story drop. "What do you guys call this world?"
He turned towards the odd group of people watching him with an expectant look. Last thing he remembered doing was reading the King's letter. He woke up in this new world – maybe he'd lost his memories again? Sora gnawed on a lip, and leaned on his Keyblade like a cane; it didn't seem to want to disappear.
"World? We're in Andy's Room," answered the tube-limbed cowboy, Woody. He threw a look to the astronaut beside him, who shrugged.
"Andy's… Room?" That was a strange name for a world.

Then:
"Sora!" A girl burst from the crowd, trying not to trip over an errant nose from the big potato. "You're here!"
"Kairi!" He grinned and hugged her. "Great, you made it, too!"

A while later:
"Sora," she says, quietly, "I've been here for a while. I think there's something you should know…"
He looked at her, suddenly worried. "Hey… where's Riku?

Six days later, and Sora was going crazy. The Gummi Blocks weren't Gummis, but something called Legos, and no matter what shapes or structures he arraigned them in it refused to fly. He could not Glide, but at least he could fall a long ways without getting hurt. Buzz and Woody argued that he was a toy, not real, and this wasn't just some world he could whisk himself off of.
Kairi stayed silent during the arguments.
And his Keyblade was broken… or something. Stupid Key. No amount of pointing and concentrating unlocked the looming room door, or made the Key disappear, or change form. Useless.

On the seventh night, Sora decided to leave.
The window was opened.
"Sora," Kairi hissed. "What are you doing?"
"I have to go," he said, clamoring up to the ledge. The breeze felt good. "I've got to find Riku."
"But – "
"Come with me, Kairi!" He held out a hand to her, eyes determined. "I'm not leaving you behind again."
She hesitated – and for a moment, Sora was scared she wouldn't go. But then her hand grasped his, and he lifted her up to the windowsill.
"All right," he said, relieved. "Where ever Riku is, we'll find him! Hang on, this might be rough."
"Sora? What are you – No, at least use a rope - !"
He grabbed her close, arms around the waist… and jumped.

Then again, I suppose it's something of a mixed blessing that there's no Riku-figure. Sora thinks he's frustrated with the useless Keyblade. Think of how he'd feel if Riku were there and he found out that his clothes are painted on. (shudders) The horror.
And for the Playarts figures... I wonder if they know how much money they're losing? I'd buy a Sora and a Riku... but without a Riku, it feels kind of pointless buying a Sora, and I'm certianly not buying any of the others without Sora. A whole collection lost, for want of a Riku. It would be kind of like buying jelly and never buying peanut butter. Just wrong.
