Title: Where You Lead
Word Count: 183
Spoilers: Slight spoilers for KH1 and 2.
Rating/Warnings: G
Notes: Riku, Sora - what you can say without words.
What does it mean?
Like every other question about people and intentions, that's a hard one.
But sometimes it means 'let me help you- that sand can be slippery.'
Sometimes- oftentimes- when you're young, and your parents are in charge, it means 'I expect you to wander off as soon as I'm not looking.'
When it's dark and visibility isn't so good, it means 'I need to know you're still with me.'
One fateful night when lightning split the darkness and a storm with no rain tore the islands apart, it meant 'do you trust me?'
The response was 'yes, always'- without thought, without hesitation- but the pull of darkness was far too strong. The answer got lost.
Sometimes it means 'follow me' and sometimes included is 'I know where to go.'
Sometimes 'hold on so we don't lose each other.'
It's a tough question, but once upon a time in a place with no day and no night a boy climbed to his feet.
"We'll go together."
Another boy looked at him, at his outstretched hand, and realized-
"Yeah."
it meant everything.

Date: 2008-01-22 10:53 pm (UTC)You get my Guuuuuuuuh face. This makes me so happy happy happy. I knew what you were building up to, and my eyes were scanning like mad cause I just wanted to get there, and guh there is no disappointment!
I love what you did with the prompt. I love that things aren't spelled-out (you know what I mean) like others would do with the same idea. I'm weak for drabbles that don't name names. And I am so so weak for endings that are like 'mwahahaha, pow!' and and and. I just really heart this. <3 Tis lovely. To the memories it goes!
