I just couldn't resist. ^_____^

Riku thought that his plan was flawless. To him, the bluff was so perfect that he nearly cried at his ingenious deception. But judging by the dark looks being shot at him by his best friend, maybe…just maybe, he had overlooked a few details.

"Sora? What's wrong? You look angry."

Sora pointed to an empty cookie jar on the table between him and Riku.

"You ate my cookies."

Cold sweat started to run down Riku's spine but he insisted on pleading innocent, "What are you talking about Sora? What cookies?"

Sora's gaze narrowed as he growled, "Read the note in the jar Riku."

Batting his aquamarine eyes artlessly, he did as he was told. When he had done so, he laughed, as if the contents of note were new and amusing to him. "I didn't eat your cookies Sora, Selphie and the rest did! It's quite obvious that Selphie wrote this note out of guilt."

Sora remained unmoved by Riku's convincing performance of an innocent.

"Selphie dots her 'i's with hearts." Sora stated bluntly.

Ah… Details…Riku's smile faltered but he still maintained his ruse, " Maybe it was Wakka who wrote the note."

"Wakka doesn't write in cursive."

Damn. Another minor detail our little trick master failed to notice.

"Then… perhaps it was Tidus?"

"…"

Riku took Sora's silence as a positive response, "It must have been Tidus!"

"Tidus is allergic to the flavouring Kairi puts in her cookies."

"…"

This time, the silence came from Riku. Sora honoured Riku with a rare look of disgust before he turned around and left.

For the first time in his life, Riku hated himself.
