Sora, Riku, Kairi- it’s not that he regrets having faith in
Riku….
He could hear voices, but as long as they weren't too loud, he'd continue to doze. He was warm, comfy, and maybe Kairi was right to call him a cynic, but he agreed with his parents- Christmas was a children's holiday. He saw no reason to be awake before the crack of dawn. The presents would still be there when he finally woke up.
"I feel gypped- neglected, I tell you! I can't believe you got one from him and I didn't. I'm going to check again-"
"No," Kairi whispered sharply, "I just got them re-arranged! You looked at every single package-"
"But I stood there, Kairi- I looked him in the face, and I don't get a present?"
Riku opened his eyes a crack, glanced at all the brightly wrapped parcels arrayed beautifully in one corner of the room, directly under the lights Kairi had strung on her wall. He glanced at his friends, unaware of his attention- closed his eyes again. Sora was exaggerating. Between all the boxes from Hollow Bastion, Belle and the Beast, Disney Castle, and everything that wasn't actually a Christmas gift, (some worlds didn't celebrate the holiday, but they had chosen to save the random presents till now) Sora had probably gotten more than he had. Riku would bet his candy on it (even if he lost, it would be a win, but he knew he was right). Not that he would have kept Sora's candy. ...Only the sugar paopus.
"I still believe," Kairi said simply.
Sora huffed in indignation. "I believe."
"No," Kairi disagreed. "You know. There’s a difference."
"It's all Riku's fault," he grumbled.
Riku was tempted to sit up and ask what he'd done this time. He was saved by Kairi's consolation.
"It's not like he was lying to you, Sora. Ask him when he wakes up. I'm sure he'll still tell you there's no such thing as Santa Claus."

Date: 2008-07-17 01:33 pm (UTC)XD Have you ever had a sugar plum? In my neck of the woods they're the texture and consistancy of a gumdrop and just as sugar-coated. Much, much better flavor though. Omgsogood. Sugar paopu? YES PLEASE.

I love to see people using it for different arguments. Religion, the supernatural, folklore versus science- it's an interesting point to make. If you have proof, it's not
faithbelief anymore. :)no subject
