Thank you so much, everyone! :D I was not prepared for this! And the challenge would have been out sooner except I was determined to find this quote, so.
In Susan Cooper's the Dark is Rising, there is a moment when Bran asks Will why some of the Riders of the Dark are dressed all in black, and others all in white; and Will replies:
"Maybe because the Dark can only reach people at extremes - blinded by their own shining ideas, or locked up in the darkness of their own heads."
Of course, one's evil is another man's good - and we can none of us be sure we haven't been blinded unless we're willing to let others be themselves. Be it scientists in castles long gone, or children playing in island sands, or Princesses gone unexpectedly astray - whatever shines for you, Challenge [160] is Blinded and it ends on the 20th.
