Fragile challenge
Apr. 22nd, 2005 10:59 amHey, have been a little busy lurking around and reading bits and pieces. Not sure if I'm on time for this, but here.
Challenge: Fragile
Title: The pieces would never fit properly
Word Count: 133
(anything else): A little angst. No spoilers, but some comfort.
The loss of his friends. The loss of his home. The fate of the world resting upon his small shoulders. He weathered through all that. The final straw that hit him was the knowledge of what had happened to his beloved. He was in tears. Large droplets that rolled out from his eyes and onto his cheeks uncontrollably.
It was too much for his heart. His heart had shattered into a million pieces. The testament of how much he cared for his friends. He had always cared too much for them. That had made him vulnerable.
She knew that.
There was nothing she could do but hold him, allowing him to cry in her arms.
After the tears, she would help him mend the pieces.
Though the pieces would never fit properly together.
