Watching the water drip its way down to the bucket, Leon slouched down into the couch, wondering just how he would fix the leak in the roof this time.

At least Yuffie hadn’t stuck around this time to try and ‘help.’ Her last attempt at trying to do anything with Leon had ended up with the ninja being tied up with her own scarf and left in the spare room, so she had taken the hint and gone to hide out in Cid’s shop to wait out the rain.

It was probably the smartest idea, anyway. At least the shop didn’t have a hole in the roof and was warm.

Somebody had to watch and make sure the bucket didn’t overflow, though. And the cold didn’t bother him. Much.

Something soft touched his bare arms, and he turned his face up, staring unblinking into Aerith’s soft eyes as she nudged him over, a blanket in her arms that she spread across them to keep them both warm.

“What’re you…”

She tapped her fingertip against his lips to quiet him, leaning her cheek against his shoulder. “Stubbornness loves company.”

“… If you say so.”
