Challenge [186]: Black and White
Title: Titan

Notes: This was inspired by this, actually. xD I couldn't help but write it after starting to ship it real hard, so...

He, the black, thinks about Aeleus sometimes.

Aeleus, a scientist. A warrior. And...

He still remembers the love. Aeleus held it dear, but he couldn't care for it. He knows Aeleus, the white, loved her.

When he goes to the first world Namine creates for Sora, he is (perhaps) startled to see her there. She, though an illusion, recognizes him. She smiles and she takes his hand and they walk, her smaller hand lost inside his gargantuan one.

He thinks about it sometimes. What was it about him that made him what he is? Aeleus must have had a very strong heart. He is (or would be) proud of that, at least. Or perhaps it was Aeleus' love for her that helped birth him.

She (the illusion, that is) reassures him that she still loves him. He doesn't respond. He can't respond. He has to wonder where his heart went. Aeleus could live again, if only he had that. Aeleus of the white coat would go to her, tell her there is love there still for her.

He of the black cannot do that.

But he will wait, and as Sora continues to release hearts toward Kingdom Hearts, his (false? real?) hope will grow.

Wow, that was incredibly depressing. In a good way, of course! I love the illusion vs. reality aspect of it. It makes me kind of sad that his hope was never fulfilled...

Nice dichotomy with his former and current selves, down to the color of the coats the two halves wear. And this is a pretty awesome pairing; I have to say, I like it better than most of the other pairs I see her in. Well done!
