Title: Catch A Star

Spoilers: CoM, maybe? o.o
Notes: Replicated boys and their replicated toys.
The chain rested loosely between his fingers as he admired it, and thoughts of salty air and brilliant, starry skies came to mind. Coarse sand, soft blue eyes. A promise.
When Larxene caught him wistfully lost in (not) memories, she tittered about the dangers of falsehood and poison. Not taking the bait, his fingers closed around the pendant, holding it tightly, protectively. She only cackled harder at his defiant reaction, but he ignored her.
She didn't know, didn't understand, and he pitied her and her ignorance. The pendant was special and worth protecting, just like its previous owner.
Riku took good care of his present, and he hadn't forgotten his promise in return. In his mind, a present given was a present owed, and he would do everything and anything to protect Namine.
With a slight smile, he gave the charm a soft squeeze before tucking it back into his pocket.
