“So tell me about her! Like, what’s her favorite color?”
“Um…” He looks her straight in the eye to prove he’s not lying. “Green.”
“Good, good, and what about her hobbies?”
He ponders a bit. “Hanging out with friends. She likes the beach.”
“Can she make a good sand-castle? Does she like ice cream? Oh, and,” she sneaks in slyly, “Does she look good in a swimsuit?”
He allows himself a genuine blush. “Um, yeah. Yes, especially the sea-salt ones. And… uh, I don’t know.”
Olette giggles, his heart flutters ever-so-slightly. “She sounds too good to be true. Are you sure you aren’t making her up?”
“Heck no.”
“Oi!” The brash tone of his friend’s interjection reminds him that they’re not alone. “Remember the ladies here! Cut the cussing.”
“Hayner,” Olette shakes her head with a wry knowing smile as she slides her hand into the spiky-haired’s. “You’re no better yourself.”
“That’s a fact.” Pence adds, his heart sinking at the sight.
