Title: Burnt Eggs

The smell of something burning slowly roused Riku from sleeping.
His nose twitched, he sneezed, he almost fell asleep again, his nose twitched a second time, and a sudden shrill beeping filled the small apartment.
The teen jumped to a sitting position with a yelp, eyes bleary and bangs in his face. The beeping continued as he raked a hand through his hair and stood, adjusting his pj bottoms before stumbling from the room.
As he entered the small kitchen, Sora looked over his shoulder, sheepish grin and pink apron in place.
"Er...morning Ri..." Riku blinked a couple times, looked at the black pillar of smoke rising from the stove, and promptly turned around to go back to bed.
Sora laughed and removed the burning substance before trotting after him.
"Riku wait" The silvertte paused and swung his head around. Sora laughed again at the bedraggled appearance and hugged the taller teen. "Sorry for waking you."
Riku grumbled and returned the embrace, leaning his head on top of Sora's. Sora chuckled and leaned up to kiss Riku's neck before takig his hand and leading him back to the bedroom.
"What were you tryin' to so So'?" Riku asked as he flopped back onto the bed, hugging the brunette to him.
"Wellll~ I was trying to make you breakfast...eggs..and the stove got angry and was like 'guess what...no'. So...the eggs burnt..."
Riku blinked slowly before shaking his head and leaning against his pillow. "Right...sorry I asked..."
Sora grinned and leaned over so he could palce a light kiss on Riku's nose before he jumped up. "But I can totally make up for it!" Riku looked wearily at the bouncing teen.
"I dunno..."
Sora shook his head and ran to their closet. Riku watched as he dug through it for a few minutes before a muffled trimphant shout found it's way to his ears. The brunette backed out slowly and turned with his hands behind his back. "Mmmm pick a hand!"
Riku groaned as Sora kneeled on the bed, grin spreading across his face. He weakly raised a finger and pointed to the right hand. Sora laughed and showed an empty palm before whipping out his left hand.
Riku stared, a small light coming to his eyes as Sora continued to grin. The silverette reached out to grip the gift the brunette had so thoughtfully picked out. A ticket for "Best seat in the house" to Riku's favorite play.
A smile slowly made it's way across his face before his eyes darted up to Sora. "Sora this is-"
Sora grinned and kissed him slowly. The young teen pulled back slightly and mumbled "Happy birthday Riku"
