Challenge: Disquiet
Title: Something I Can't Put My Finger On

Notes: This drabble has been driving me nuts all week. This idea has been driving me nuts since I started really noticing Xigbar in 358/2 Days. Yay for the challenge giving me an outlet! Now somebody get him the heck away from me. >.>

Also, Roxas's voice is hard.

Entry 224 (b)

There’s a way that Xigbar looks at me when we’re both in the lounge, and I don’t know what it is. I tried to explain it to Axel, but he just kind of laughed at me and shrugged it off. I didn’t even get to ask him if he knew what it meant, but it probably doesn’t matter.

Axel kind of has a problem answering questions.

But Xigbar was in the Coliseum today and he looked at me the exact same way. With that wierd light in his eyes, and the way he smiles. It was even worse out there. The lounge seems even wierder than the rest of home sometimes. Like it’s not really there, I dunno. So I guess it doesn’t count then? It’s not like I have to stay there.

But on the mission, out in the heat and the sunlight...

xigbar is just... disquieting. :x some of his lines in 358 struck me so much that i had to write them down in a file, just so i could look at them again and make more :x :x :x faces.

i think you did roxas' voice very well! ♥ it reminds me so much of his other clueless-yet-unnerved entries. :x poor roxas.

You know, I wanted to do the same thing? Well, him and Xaldin, but that's just because I am ridiculously fangirly about Xaldin, so. ^^;

I'm going to end up replaying just to transcript things, I know it. I had started and ended up having to quit, but the first thing he says is "Welcome to the program, as they say." And I just D: because he told him, not in so many words but it's right there. The same way he 'tells' Sora about Roxas, actually.

...except, in light of 358/2 and the teasery hints at BBS, it might not have just been Roxas he was talking about. brrr.


Thank you so much! :D I had to keep fighting with it, and a couple of times changing the whole thing, because he just kept coming across too energetic. Or too clued-in. -.-
