Challenge: 213 Anticipation
Title: her heart, it pounds
Word Count: 107
Notes: Hi everyone! Haven't posted in awhile but I had a very, very tiny bit of inspiration for this challenge. Enjoy.
She's standing there on the beach again and the sun is setting. The little island across the waves is still there, it always will be.
"I want to remember you. I want to."
As usual, she's whispering to herself to remember. It's working this time. She almost feels as though she never forgot his name but- what is his name?
It's building up inside of her, ready to let go at any moment. She is stronger than before, she is.
The doorway before her is opening again and she's teetering on the edge of hesitance. Instead of turning away, she drops her bag and then, well, she's gone.
