Merry Christmas all~ XD

Title: "Picture of a Family at Christmas"
Word Count: 258
Spoilers: Possibly for the names of some BBS cameo characters?
Notes: Canon AU? In the future, when everyone has had their happy ending? Basically any excuse for me to get all the characters together for Christmas. :3




Namine pauses at the door to the great hall in Radiant Garden’s castle, trying to freeze the scene in her mind so she can draw it later.

The tree has been set up in the middle of the room, and Aqua, Terra, and Cloud are decorating it with what ornaments could be found or made. Terra’s still wearing the Santa hat the Gullwings put on him--Yuna must have done some fast talking. Leon is still talking with said Gullwings, but from the look on his face and the way they’re nodding, they’ve given up trying to claim the star for the tree as “treasure.”

Riku is putting candles and holly on the fireplace mantle, while Kairi hangs stockings. Sora and Ven are using glide to put up tinsel and wreaths. At a table in a corner, Roxas and Xion look like they’ve finished setting the “nativity” Belle gave them when they visited her world a few days ago.

Not everyone is here: Cid left as soon as he’d put the lights on the tree; Aeris, Tifa, and Rinoa were in the kitchens preparing what they could for tomorrow; Ienzo and Even were almost impossible to draw out of the labs; Dilan and Elaeus had to take their turn at guard; Lea and Isa were spending Christmas with their families.

Still, when Sora notices her, smiles, and waves her over, she smiles back and, being careful not to drop the presents she’s carrying, goes to join the only family she’s known.

Christmas drabbles are the best thing ever. I will always love the image of Terra in a Santa hat, willingly or not.

This is beautiful and warm and fuzzy and just the right thing at Christmas. ♥

XD Christmas and Halloween drabbles are my favorite, though I could be biased because those are my favorite holidays. :3

Terra would wear the Santa hat quite willingly after Yuna made puppy eyes at him and insisted that it looked really good on him and was totally necessary for getting in the holiday spirit. X3

This is absolutely adorable and I want it to be the actual secret ending after the final game. Even if Cid appears to be channeling Scrooge. And particularly because I have to second the whole love for Terra in a Santa hat. <3

<3 Thank you for the lovely compliment. Cid is something of a grump, so he always appears to be channeling Scrooge. Then everyone finds neat tech-toys in their stockings. :3 At least, that's my own headspace!Cid. I'll admit I got the Terra-in-a-Santa hat idea from Lynxgriffin's icon and a recent entry in KHFFR. The image just wouldn't leave me alone.

Oh my goodness, so cute. Is it wrong that I desperately wish this would really happen? And that last sentence, and Namine... it's like a warm and fuzzies overload. ;D

Thank you~ XD Considering I'm the one who made it up, I am all for people wishing this would happen. Warm and fuzzies were what I was aiming for, though if there's an overload...may I suggest putting some aside for when they're needed? :D?
