Challenge: [270] Obsession
Title: A Second Chance
Word Count: 458
Notes:  Hmm.. no comment really. I really enjoyed this piece and I hope you guys do too.

If you are successful enough to make it fifteen years without absolutely obliterating yourself, say grace. You're one of the lucky ones. At the fragile age of fifteen, life can either make you or break you.

Lea walked along that fragile line every day. He wanted his name to be known amongst all, so he'd bend the line as much as he could without breaking it.

Skipping school, mocking the teacher… eh, that was child's play. But Lea still played along, because everything in his life tied in with each other in some way. School, home life, the city folk all fell together in a chain of connections.

So he'd be the class clown and pull down the teachers pants, get sent to detention and almost get expelled every day. That was fun, sometimes. If he was lucky, he could even get a chuckle out of Isa.

Lea wasn't even really sure where he learned the word obliterate.

But going back to his original point, if you don't climb up now, you'll fall. And once you're stuck in the bottom, you're there forever.

With the growing obsession to rebel every day, having to constantly make sure to do or say something to every. damn. person you talked to was exhausting.

"Got It Memorized?"

And for a short while, they did seem to get it memorized.

"Oh, look. There's Isa… oh, Lea's with him too." The girls with scowl, and Lea would grin from ear to ear.

They said his name so disgustingly, the way it'd roll off their tongue and the scowls just filled him with euphoric joy.

"Haha, hear that, Isa? They know me!"

Isa narrowed his eyes. "Stop the act, Lea."

And the redhead opened his mouth to reply, but instead didn't, his mouth forming a straight line as he began to eat his lunch.

For a kid with a tough life at home, a drunk for a dad and a mom that completely waltzed right out of his life at the fragile age of four, acceptance was a tough thing to find…

All he'd find is rejection. So Lea figured to embrace it.

A few months later, at the fragile age of fifteen, Lea's life ended when the Heartless attacked.

No one missed Lea, and apparently no one had gotten it memorized because years later, they can only focus on the lost of their homes.

The name Lea, or the fiery head of red hair seemed to simple have escaped their memories.

In the depths of Darkness, 'Lea' is given a second chance as Axel.

This time he won't mess up.

This time.. they'll remember.
