Sora and Kairi, the epitome of cliché in so many ways. There was nothing else in the world that fitted that word more. After all, Sora was the naive knight in shining armor that has rescued the pretty Princess of Light, her heart just as pure as his, it seemed. And that was only the beginning. Riku had a long list full of examples why this couple was so…so annoyingly cliché that it made his blood boil.

If you looked at it through his eyes, then the story got another swirl. Riku was the guy that was so desperately longing for the girl, who ended up falling head over heels for his best friend. The goofy, childish boy who constantly fell over his big shoes in his attempt to outrun Riku. How in the world could someone like him steal a girl’s heart with… with what exactly? What did Sora have that he didn't?

Brains? Not him.

Charm? Couldn't be.

Stupidity? Maybe.

And what did that make of him? Nothing more than the third wheel. It was like those stupid, utterly predictable chick flicks that Kairi loved to watch. With Sora, that is. Not with him. Never with him. Because who the actual Hell was he, other than the good friend that awkwardly watched the two lovebirds do fun things with each other from the sidelines?

These two were just made for each other. It was so damn obvious that nobody questioned it anymore. Never had, never will.

And what did that make of him? Nothing. Nothing but a failure.
