Notes: Set near the end of KH2. Possible spoilers for KH3D? Doubt it, though.

He doesn't really consider it as death, perhaps more like a new beginning.

Axel chuckles to himself. An abomination of nature, a creature that wasn't really supposed to exist in the first place doesn't really die.. does it?

He doesn't feel sad, no. It's sort of a bittersweet feeling. He's sad to let go of this life, but excited for the next.

A new beginning… was exactly what he needed.

Needless to say, his chapter as Axel was miserable at best.

Starry-eyed and excited for the future, Axel's lips form a tight smile, wondering what the cards had in store for him next.

"Come on, Lea. Give it your best shot." He chuckles under his breath as his body has sunk into the Darkness, not a trace of his soul-less being left.
