Challenge: [300] The End Of The World... Or Not
Title: Thoughtless Hyperbole
Word Count: 125
Notes: Inspired by the fact that it drives me crazy when people do this. Also, someday I will come up with an idea in the actual first week of a challenge. This is not that challenge. Slow writer is slow.

The end of the world.
Sora hears the words spoken in jest, in thoughtless hyperbole, and it makes him grit his teeth.
On the one hand, these people don’t know what it’s like, when the world really ends and you don’t end with it.
On the other hand, part of Sora’s job is to keep them from ever knowing.
Crucial to it, he thinks, might be experiencing the frustrations of everyday life, remembering always that the small troubles have as much importance as the small triumphs, reaching out in sympathy to these people he works so hard to save.
He wishes fiercely for these worlds to go on forever. He knows it’s impossible, but he has no intention of letting them end on his watch.

*sympathizes with slow writing*

eeee. I like the idea of Sora actually being irritated. People's being dramatic over everyday things would strike that note, after all. But Sora is too awesome to get (too) bitter over it.

sooooora. this is a thing for him, isn't it? because i can see that being IC where it's the small things that he's so happy to have saved, the bad days and the good and then someone has a slightly off day and acts like it's the end of everything and he just kind of wants to grab them and shake them and go THIS TOO SHALL PASS and soooora

(and all these feelings are your fault I hope you're happy)

That would be pretty frustrating, considering what Sora had to go through. I can really feel Sora's thoughts and emotions in this, and the last line is very powerful. I like the way you interpreted the prompt! Good job!
