Leon misses things he no longer cares to remember, and he doesn't care to show it, either. No matter what Aerith says, with her soft smiles and her encouraging therapy, no matter how Yuffie coaxes and smiles. Not even for Sora, who Leon would follow anywhere; the true Keyblade master who should be older, should be wiser, and isn't, and makes that okay.

Leon misses things and people he's blocked from his memory, and he misses the memory, too, all caught up in himself and the losses suffered.

He catches himself staring up into the starry sky, arms wrapped round himself, searching...

I love the simplicity of this drabble. I also love the subtle way you paint Leon's hopelessness. I love how he's so far gone in nostalgia that he misses memory itself. I like the way he mourns in such a solitary way.
