Challenge:[78] Tidying Up
Title: Crumpled Paper
Word Count: 154
Notes: KH2 Spoilers here
XD It worked out better in my brain, I'm sure-- but I hope I pulled off some of the execution for you all to enjoy. ^__^
Naminé sketched quietly, eyes focused completely on her work. Sora's memories were scattered and shifted—twisted this way and that. She didn't see herself as restoring what was lost so much as straightening up her mess.
She knew Roxas and Sora intimately; their thoughts and hers were almost the same. Roxas's memories had to be cleaned up, but in a different way. Unlike Sora's, his were crumpled up like the discarded pieces of paper from her sketchbook, littering the floor around her feet.
Sora's memories were organized on shelves, dates and times associated with the pictures; Roxas's lay on the ground, carelessly kicked aside as people moved about her small room. She paused in her task of sketching out another of Sora's memories to pick and smooth out the pieces of Roxas that were forgotten.
Side by side, she hung the pieces that connected Sora and Roxas on her plain white walls, scattered memories coming together.
