Title: Shadow
Word Count: 197
Notes: Spoilers for the first game a bit? You have to know who all the Princesses are at least. :) And Kairi's connection to them. Other than that? Enjoy!
For Kairi, Sora had always been Sora. It was his smile that she thought of, his laziness and his cheerful attitude. Best friend of both her and Riku….
…but after the darkness came and her heart was enclosed by his, she got to know more of what Sora was; the real strength of his heart.
After her heart was freed and she stood, if only briefly, with the other Princesses, another word resonated along her heart, her mind—it was on the lips of Aurora and Alice, of Jasmine and Belle—Snow White and Cinderella.
For the moment, she didn't just see him as Sora, but as the Keyblade Master. He was the one that would defeat the Dark their hearts held at bay. The Keyblade Master would save them all.
She knew that it was still Sora, but as she understood her role as a Princess of the Heart, she couldn't help but overlay that image with the one that all the Princesses of the Heart shared; the Keyblade Master was the one all of their hearts were attuned to.
Kairi had to make sure that Sora didn’t lost in the shadow of the Keyblade Master.
