Title: Poison
Challenge: [90] Under Lock and Key
Word Count: 160
Notes: I'm happy with my entry, especially how I kept the word count down with simplicity. Roxas-centric, miiiinor KHII spoilers. Enjoy. :3
Memories had been getting to Roxas for a while now.
He heard whispers of his name all the time, always. He began to think that the Organization was incapable of keeping their mouths shut.
But Roxas always heard his name being used with the word "memories".
It was a silly word, as he had discovered.
They were so fragile that by simply removing a heart effected them greatly. Roxas thought hearts were just as fragile. Who wanted such fragile commodities?
But as the whispers escalated, the thought of remembering memories crossed Roxas' mind more than twice, at the least. It sickened him.
The sickness turned out to be a poison.
It was a poison that seeped into his every day thoughts, corrupting normal activities and conversations. He knew that it would become worse and never better. There was no antidote.
He gathered that his memories were under a lock and key.
The lock and key were also poisoned.
Touching them could be fatal.
Roxas took the chance.
