Title: A Better One

A/N: So since I've already played with the Mothers of KH, I decided to toy with the Fathers and um... crack. Crap and crack. Together. Aren't you excited? Rated PG-13 for adult subject matter and general what-the-fuckery. I swear I will one day write a serious Father piece, but that day is not today.



He tells himself, this is not what fathers are.

Fathers are not spiders that scuttle darkened corners, like shadows folding walls.

Fathers are not silhouettes that press into bedframes when the nightlight burns out.

They are not the pool of sweat in the mattress the boy presses into when he has nowhere else to squirm, when his bed is suddenly too small and moans louder than the rasp of air through his throat.

They are not the stifled gasp that’s slick like oil on his tongue; they are not the undisturbed hush that’s left.

Ansem tells himself this, and ignores the thought.

He still thinks himself a father.

And, gradually –

Xehanort comes to think himself a better one.

SLAP IN THE FACE! *reels* Seriously. You have an intriguing drabble here, and it continued being intriguing until it switched to Xehanort and then it was like a slap to the face with the sudden switch. :D Nice drabble! Way to get some surprise and "Ohh... creepy." out of me.

XD Well, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Really it was just a product of this pairing poking me in the butt until I wrote it, as well as me just wanting to be a total snark in this challenge. There are so many legitimately good drabbles this time around, I didn't feel the need to write one myself. So this was the result ^^;;;; But, I am glad you liked it. And I'm glad it creeped you out. It creeps me out too XD
