Title: Vital Information
Word Count: 314
Spoilers: For the beginning of KH2, just after the prologue.
Rating/Warnings: G, none
Notes: Most people forget that there’s a fourth member of your group, and no, you don’t leave him behind on each world… unless you want to be scolded.
Jiminy frowned and felt a weight grow in his stomach. He flipped page after page of his journal and remembered one morning quite a while ago in Traverse Town. He’d woken to find himself alone on a spare pillow of the house in District Three.
He'd been forgotten. Usually he slept in Sora’s pocket. That night he’d opted to stretch his legs a bit more, and just look at the result.
Whatever worlds Sora, Donald and Goofy traveled through before they came back to Traverse Town, he would miss.
He might miss all sorts of information that the King would ask him about when they met again- information that future scholars would have liked to know. He might miss information that could maybe- just maybe prove vital to their journey later on.
He made use of the time. He spent much of the week with Cid in Traverse Town getting lecture after lecture on Gummi Ships and parts and flying technique. He patrolled the World with Yuffie, and with Leon, and learned much about the people there. Aerith had given him a step-by-step cooking lesson that he decided later should be left out of his journal. It had been wonderfully informative, and he had all sorts of advice for the guys when they got back.
He had also given Sora several pieces of his mind over the next two days. The boy had blushed for most of that time, muttered ‘I’m sorry’ quite often, and never done it again.
Jiminy could remember that time quite vividly. He could remember writing it down in his journal.
His journal which currently was- save for two words- utterly blank.
Eight missing days didn’t feel so very important right now.
He flipped through the pages silently, three sets of eyes upon him. Jiminy coughed into his glove and blushed.
"Sora... I do believe I owe you an apology."

And I love the little mundane details, and how you pack so much personality into them. Fantastic.
