Title: Great Expectations
Wordcount: 159
Notes: Cloud, Sephiroth, and routine.
Fifteen minutes into Sephiroth’s monologue, Cloud was getting bored. The silver-haired man wasn’t likely to find out that Cloud was thinking more about dinner and what he should get Tifa and Aeris for Christmas than about the eternal struggle of light and dark. One, Cloud really didn’t have a wide range of facial expressions, and two, Sephiroth wasn’t even looking at him.
Of course, they’d been through this particular song and dance often enough that Cloud could tell when his opponent was winding down, assume a fighting stance and come up with some retort. As the wind whipped Sephiroth’s hair around in a manner that had been dramatic the first few times, but was now more or less an annoyance to both of them, Cloud figured he should say something.
“Sephiroth, do you really expect me to give in?”
And then Sephiroth lunged, faster than normal, his green eyes bright and burning. “No, Cloud. I expect you to die.”

Thanks for that... XD

Date: 2009-06-26 05:30 am (UTC)Secretly, Cloud is much more afraid of accidentally favoring one girl over the other than he ever was of Sephiroth.

I wonder if the emo-guy attitude is just all this and he thinks it's uncool so he has to be a stereotypical Emo Guy With Horrendous Past?
...
Forgive me, I've had about an hour of quality sleep.
