They stared at him wide-eyed.

"I'm sorry," Kairi said hurriedly, "we have to what?"

Sora forced a laugh as he tested the furniture, searching for something appropriately heavy and or bolted-down.

"We have to ride the tornado to get to OZ," he repeated with false joviality, "I thought I told you that."

"No, you didn't!"

Something outside, caught in the turbulent winds, hit the side of the farmhouse with enough force that the walls trembled. Riku glanced out the window and wished he hadn't, gaze caught by the funnel of storm clouds moving inexorably closer. He backed up, step by step, until Kairi grabbed his hand.

"You are dead," he told Sora. "Your ass is kicked."

Sora did another of those fake laughs, followed Riku’s gaze out the window and gulped. "Um... I think we should go climb in the bathtub." A chicken sailed past the window, clucking madly. “Now.”
