Word Count: 135
Notes: something I've had sitting on my flashdrive for a while. Yuffie centric. (and short miracles do exist)
Home. They were always talking about getting back home. Tales of tall buildings and blue sky and sun. Stories about a city built within walls, a safe haven. Where the very ground was saturated with so much magic waterfalls ran upwards. Home.
Yuffie couldn't remember Hollow Bastion that well. She had vague recollections of laying on sun-baked roofs, watching great white puffy clouds roll through a bright sky. Pictures, still shots, like the entire place was out there somewhere holding its breath until they returned.
Home, she tasted the word, trying to connect those fleeting memories to the single syllable. Telling herself again and again that those four letters did not add up to shadow dark alleys and star strewn skies. Did not add up to cramped quarters and the light of a candle.
Home.

Date: 2010-12-10 03:48 am (UTC):) I absolutely love Yuffie and let's face it, she pretty much grew up in Traverse Town. I'm sure she went through quite the rollercoaster of emotions about where home was.
Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad you liked it ♥
